Description

I’d been making mixes exclusively at BPM 120 or higher, so this time I created a mix at a slightly slower BPM. Although the BPM of Many of the songs used are mostly around 120, after recording at 115 BPM, I lowered the overall BPM and re-recorded to create the final version.

As a secondary theme this time, I consciously focused on using loops extensively. In my previous DJ mixes, I hardly ever used loops. The reason was that the loop button on the old mixer at Goja, my home of DJ, was broken, so I’d always mixed without loops as a given.

However, I always believed mastering loops was an essential skill for freely controlling track length and achieving natural fade-outs during mixes. I think I learned that through this mix. I want to get better though.
