Mix 1 | Jazzy House | BPM 124 - 127 | 57.1 M

Description

This DJ mix is the first one I ever made.

It was inspired by the YouTube video that originally sparked my interest in DJing: Jazzy House Mix at a Cocktail Lounge | Tinzo. I’ve quoted Razz-A-Jazz — Stacy Kidd from that DJ mix.

I also mixed the impression of the daytime main floor at Rainbow Disco Club held annually in Japan, which I love!

Furthermore, having once been a beatmaker myself, I enjoy the process of layering two distinct tracks with carefully adjusted EQ to discover new musical expressions. This technique is scattered throughout the mix, and the discovery of the transitions into Sunset Boulevard — GLounge and Salve — dublon, TABLE & Deza has influenced the mixes I create going forward.

I learned DJing from Jazzy House Mix at a Cocktail Lounge | Tinzo, so this DJ mixes tend to have relatively short track play times as a house DJ mix. I like it because it keeps things interesting, but some house dancers apparently want longer track play times.

As mentioned earlier, I enjoy blending tracks to discover new expressions and reliably recreating them, which inevitably makes cue points extremely important. It is also important for controlling energy throughout the entire mix. Consequently, I often mix out before the outro or mix in after the intro. In other words, there may be unavoidable situations where the playback time of a song becomes shorter.

This conflict has heightened my fascination with DJing.
